AhlulBayt News Agency: Yemen’s Armed Forces have once again targeted Israel’s busiest airport as part of Sana’a’s ongoing aerial blockade, striking the facility with two armed drones.
In a statement released Wednesday, Yemeni forces identified the target as Ben Gurion Airport and the drones used in the operation as Yaffa unmanned aerial vehicles.
The statement confirmed that the operation “successfully achieved its objective.”
Since October 2023, Yemeni forces have carried out numerous such operations in response to Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
The operations later expanded to include a naval blockade, restricting Israeli ships and vessels transporting commercial and military supplies to the occupied Palestinian territories.
An aerial blockade followed, leading many international airlines to suspend flights to Israeli-controlled areas.
Yemen’s Armed Forces reiterated their unwavering support for the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation and aggression, describing the latest strike as a “victory for the oppressed Palestinian people.”
The statement also emphasized the global Muslim community’s responsibility toward Palestinians suffering under war.
“As pilgrims of the House of Allah prepare to stand at Arafat in praise and glorification,” the statement read, referring to the ongoing Hajj pilgrimage, “the blood of our brothers in Gaza continues to be shed.”
Muslims worldwide, the statement urged, must use their influence to help end the brutal military assault.
